This powerful piece is a seated Colima warrior and dates to the Protoclassic Period, circa 100 B.C.-250 A.D., and is approximately 14 inches high. A rare type, as this piece is not only intact, but is also a rare form. He is seen holding a spear that was likely made from wood, and is wearing a regal helmet with a feline symbol. A beautiful example with an even dark red glaze.
