A piece of Pre-historic Pottery was stolen from a Scottsdale, AZ Gallery between
Dec. 10 and Dec. 24, 2011
Kaolin painted jaguar with red spots rids atop of a large bird in flight. The jaguar’s claws are holding onto the breast of the bird and his tail is securely wrapped around the tail of the bird to hold on. The bird’s entire body is painted in a very rare light purple paint and head painted red. Height: 7.5 inches & Length: 9.0 inches, ca. 0 BC – 200 AD.
